ANTIGUA CLASSIC YACHT REGATTA 14.04.2011 – 20.04.2011

For the 22nd Year, the Antigua Yacht Club is proud to host the Classic Yacht Regattta from 16th April to 21st April 2009.

With our constant sunshine and tradewinds there can be no better venue for such an event – which is evidenced by the ever growing number of boats returning each year to compete.

Under the leadership of our Classic Fleet Captain, Mr. Kenny Coombs, this event has grown over the years to become one of the most prestigious Classic Yacht Regattas in the world.

It is also marked as having a remarkable spirit of camaraderie between the yachts both on and off the water.

There can be no more beautiful sight than these yachts ’showing their paces‘ on the water – ranging from 26ft to 175ft they all exhibit an awesome spectacle that evokes an age gone by. The appeal of these yachts is demonstrated by the ever growing number of ‚Spirit of Tradition‘ modern yachts built to classic lines and by the number of restoration projects in hand on genuine classic yachts.

The Antigua Yacht Club extends a warm welcome to all visiting yachtsmen, their guests and to spectators – we will be available throughout the regatta to assist and advise on all queries – including membership information.
