Wenn Sie mit uns an der Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) teilnehmen, segeln Sie den Atlantik auf der SY Peter von Seestermühe, einer klassischen, eigentümergeführten Hochseesegelyacht von 1936 mit außergewöhnlicher Atlantik-Erfahrung. Sie gilt als die deutsche Hochseesegelyacht mit den meisten Atlantiküberquerungen und nimmt in diesem Jahr bereits zum 15. Mal an der ARC teil.

Wer bei uns mitsegelt, wird voll eingebunden und erlebt den Bordalltag eines klassischen Hochseeschiffs während der zwei- bis dreiwöchigen Ozeanpassage von Las Palmas de Gran Canaria nach Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.
Ein besonderer Reiz dieser Atlantiküberquerung ist das Segeln mit den überwiegend konstanten Passatwinden. Vorm Wind läuft die Yacht stetig westwärts über den offenen Atlantik – beste Bedingungen für konzentriertes Hochseesegeln. Nicht ohne Grund wird diese Strecke auch die Barfußroute genannt.

Sailing with us in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) means crossing the Atlantic aboard SY Peter von Seestermühe, a classic, owner-operated offshore sailing yacht built in 1936 with exceptional Atlantic experience. She is widely regarded as Germany’s most travelled ocean-going yacht and will take part in the ARC for the 15th time this year.
A berth on board offers the opportunity to actively sail an Atlantic crossing, becoming part of the crew and taking part in a passage conducted in accordance with the principles of good seamanship. Sailors with a range of experience levels are welcome; what matters is an interest in offshore sailing and a willingness to be fully involved.
Life on board is defined by active participation. Sail handling, trimming, navigation and watchkeeping are part of everyday life, as is taking part in the galley watch. Everyone on board is integrated into the crew and experiences the steady rhythm of a two- to three-week ocean passage, sailing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay, St. Lucia.
